How it works

The pages of the PDF are put in the opposite order. They are only moved, never changed, so their content, links and notes stay as they were.

After the file is made, it is opened again and compared with your original: the number of pages, the size and turn of every page and all the text must be what they should be. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is my PDF uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
  • When would I reverse a PDF? When a scanner put the pages in back-to-front order, or when a printer stacks pages face up and you need them the other way.
  • Do links and bookmarks still work? Yes. Pages are only moved, never changed, so links, notes and bookmarks stay with their pages.
  • Does the text stay selectable and searchable? Yes. Pages are never turned into pictures, so text stays real text and vector graphics stay sharp.
  • Can I reverse only some pages? This tool reverses the whole PDF. To move chosen pages, use Reorganize PDF Pages.
  • How do I undo it? Reverse the new file again, and the pages are back in their first order.
  • Which PDFs are not supported? Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Remove the password first with PDF Password Unlock. Digitally signed PDFs can be processed, but rewriting the file invalidates the signature.

What happens to your file

Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server or tracked. Your PDFs stay in your browser's memory until you remove them or close the page. The finished PDF is a new file. Your original is never changed.
