For information only
The tools, results and explanations on ItsMyFile are provided for general use. We do not give legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and a result from a tool is not a substitute for it.
Check your results
Tools that change a file, such as compress, crop, resize, merge, split, rotate, convert, redact or watermark, create a new copy. Always open the result and check it before you send it, publish it or delete the original. Keep a backup of your original file. Compressing or resizing can lower quality, and converting between formats can change how a file looks.
Redaction and sensitive information
The Redact PDF tool helps you find and remove sensitive details, such as emails, phone numbers, PAN and Aadhaar numbers. It finds text by patterns, so it can miss items or flag the wrong ones, and it cannot read text that is only part of a picture, such as a scanned page. Review every page of the result yourself before you share it.
Signatures
The Sign PDF tool places an image of your signature on a document. It does not create a certified or digital-certificate signature, and the legal effect of a signature depends on the document, the country and the people involved. If a signature must meet a legal standard, ask the person or organization that requires it which kind they accept.
Passwords and encryption
Password protection is only as strong as the password you choose, and if you forget it we cannot recover it for you. The unlock tool only removes a password from a file when you already know the password. Use it only on files you have the right to open.
Text and comparison results
Text export and Compare PDF depend on how the PDF was made. Scanned pages, unusual fonts and complex layouts may give incomplete or untidy results, and the comparison report may miss or mark differences that are not real.
Device and browser limits
Because the tools run on your device, speed and success depend on your browser, your device memory and the size of the files. Very large files may fail or be slow on an older phone or computer. Some formats, such as HEIC and HEIF photos, are only supported by some browsers.
Your files and rights
You are responsible for the files you use and for having the right to use, change or share them. Do not use the tools on content that you are not allowed to copy or modify.
Accuracy and availability
We work to keep the tools correct and working, but we cannot promise that they are free of errors, always available or suitable for your purpose. You use them at your own risk. We are not liable for any loss or damage, including damaged or lost files, that comes from using the tools or relying on their results. If you find a problem, please tell us.
