This Cookie Policy explains how itsmyfile.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and service worker caches, work in much the same way. They help a site load quickly, count visits and show ads.
What we use
1. Essential storage (always on)
A service worker keeps copies of our pages, scripts, fonts and images in your browser so tools load fast and work offline. Some tools may also remember simple display choices. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us. It is needed for the site to work as intended, so it does not need consent. Your files and text are never stored by this.
2. Analytics (only with your consent, where required)
We may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, which last up to about two years, and collects information such as pages visited, device and approximate location. It does not receive your files or the text you enter into a tool.
3. Advertising (only with your consent, where required)
We may show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set or read cookies (for example IDE and __gads) to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure results and, if you agree, personalize ads. Read more on how Google uses advertising cookies.
Your choices
- On our site: when a consent message is shown, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies, and change your mind later through the privacy or cookie settings link on the site, if one is shown.
- In your browser: you can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. Look in Settings, then Privacy, for “Cookies” or “Site data”. The tools still work if you block cookies, but offline use may not.
- Ads: manage personalized ads at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of many ad networks at youronlinechoices.com (Europe) or aboutads.info/choices (US).
- Analytics: opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Changes
We may update this policy when our tools or the services we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
