- Our PDF, image and text tools run in your browser. The files you open and the text you type are processed on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers.
- We do not ask you to create an account.
- We store a few small items on your device to make the site fast and let tools work offline.

What stays on your device
When you use a tool, every file you open and everything you type or choose is handled by your browser. We never receive it. We cannot see it, and we cannot recover it for you. The files you create are saved to your own device when you download them.
Information stored in your browser
The site saves small pieces of data in your browser (not sent to us) so that the tools load quickly:
- Copies of pages, scripts, fonts and images, kept by a service worker, so tools you have opened before load fast and work offline.
- Simple display choices, such as a light or dark theme, where a tool offers them.
You can remove all of this at any time by clearing the site data for itsmyfile.com in your browser settings.
Fonts and scripts
Nearly all the fonts and the code for our tools are served from this website itself. For most tools, your browser does not contact them for that purpose.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive your name, email address and message, plus anything else you choose to include. We use this only to reply to you and to improve the site. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with your request, and then delete them. We do not sell this information. Please do not send us confidential files.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are popular. It collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and your IP address (which Google shortens or anonymizes where required). It uses cookies or similar technologies. It does not receive your files or the text you enter into a tool. Where the law requires it, analytics only run after you agree. Advertising
We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Ads never receive your files. Hosting and logs
Our web host may keep basic technical logs (such as IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type) for security and to keep the site running. These logs do not contain your files or the text you enter into a tool.

ItsMyFile is a general-audience site, and people of all ages are welcome to use our tools. The tools need no account, no sign-up and no personal details, and the files and text used in them stay on the device. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the tools. Emailing us is meant for adults. If you are under 13 (or the higher age set by your local law), please ask a parent or guardian before sending us any personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
