   Add your PDFs

   Choose PDFs or drag them into the preview. Use Add More to add others later.

   Set the sensitivity

   Raise Sensitivity for dirty scans, and lower it if pages with a little text are removed. Ignore Edges skips scanner shadows at the edge. To remove a page that is not blank, click it in the preview. Click it again to keep it, or use Undo and Redo.

   Remove Pages and download

   Click Remove Pages, then Download. Change anything and the button goes back to Remove Pages, ready for another run. Several PDFs download together as a ZIP.

How it works

Each page is drawn small in your browser, and the share of dark pixels is counted. A page under the limit counts as blank and is left out. The pages that stay are copied across unchanged.

After the file is made, it is opened again and compared with your original: the number of pages, the size and turn of every page and all the text must be what they should be. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.

Frequently asked questions

• Is my PDF uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
• How does it tell a page is blank? Each page is drawn small, and the share of dark pixels is measured. If it is under the limit set by Sensitivity, the page counts as blank.
• What does Sensitivity do? A higher number allows more specks before a page stops counting as blank. Raise it for dirty scans, and lower it if pages with a little text are being removed.
• What does Ignore Edges do? Scans often have dark borders or shadows at the edge of the sheet. Yes leaves the outer edge out when judging a page, so those pages still count as blank.
• What if no page is blank? Nothing is changed, and no file is produced for that PDF. Its card says so.
• Can I remove a page that is not blank? Yes. Click the page in the preview, or type its number in Also Remove. The page says that it is not blank but you selected it. Click it again to keep it, or use Undo and Redo.
• Could it remove a page I want? A page that is nearly empty, such as one with a single small word, can be taken for blank at a high Sensitivity. Lower the Sensitivity, and check the page count on the card.
• Does the text stay selectable and searchable? Yes. Pages are never turned into pictures, so text stays real text and vector graphics stay sharp.
• Which PDFs are not supported? Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Remove the password first with PDF Password Unlock. Digitally signed PDFs can be processed, but rewriting the file invalidates the signature.

What happens to your file

Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server or tracked. Your PDFs stay in your browser's memory until you remove them or close the page. The finished PDF is a new file. Your original is never changed.

How to get the most out of it

• Scan double-sided sheets, then use this to drop the blank backs.
• Check the page count on the card, and open the result if you changed Sensitivity.
• To remove pages by number, use Delete PDF Pages.
