How it works

A new PDF is made from the pages you chose, copied from the original one by one. Because the pages are copied rather than redrawn, their text, fonts, pictures and links stay exactly as they were.

The result is checked against the original: it must have exactly the pages you chose, in the right order, with the same sizes, text and links.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is my PDF uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
  • How do I print both sides of a PDF on a printer that cannot do it? Extract the odd pages and print them. Put the printed stack back in the tray, extract the even pages in Reversed order and print those on the back. Which way the stack goes in depends on your printer, so try with two pages first.
  • What is the difference between odd and even pages? Odd pages are 1, 3, 5 and so on, the right-hand pages of a book. Even pages are 2, 4, 6, the left-hand ones.
  • Does it change the pages themselves? No. The pages are copied as they are, so their text stays selectable and searchable.
  • What if the PDF has only one page? Odd gives that page. Even finds no page, so you get a message and no file.
  • Which PDFs are not supported? Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Remove the password first with PDF Password Unlock. Digitally signed PDFs can be processed, but rewriting the file invalidates the signature.

What happens to your file

Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server or tracked. Your files stay in your browser's memory until you remove them or close the page. The new PDF is made on your device. The original is not changed.

How to get the most out of it

  • To print double-sided by hand, print odd pages first, then the even pages Reversed on the back.
  • To pick other pages, use PDF Splitter or Remove Pages from PDF.
  • Keep your original file.
