How it works

A copy of a page is a new page entry that uses the same content, fonts and pictures as the page it copies, so nothing is repeated in the file. The pages are then put in their new order.

After the file is made, it is opened again and compared with your original: the number of pages, the size and turn of every page and all the text must be what they should be. If anything differs, no file is produced for that PDF.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is my PDF uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens in your browser, on your device. Your PDF is never sent to a server.
  • How do I choose the pages to repeat? Click pages in the preview to pick them (or drag across several), use All, First, Last, Odd or Even, or type a range such as 1-3, 5. With nothing picked, every page is repeated.
  • What is the difference between the two places? After Each Page puts the copies right after the page they copy. At the End puts them together after the last page, in the order of the picked pages, repeated for each copy.
  • Does the file get much bigger? No. A copy uses the same text and pictures as the page it copies, so only a small page entry is added.
  • Does the text stay selectable and searchable? Yes. Pages are never turned into pictures, so text stays real text and vector graphics stay sharp.
  • Do links on a copied page work? Yes. Links and notes on a page are kept on its copies.
  • Can I remove a copy later? Use Delete PDF Pages to remove any page, including copies.
  • Which PDFs are not supported? Password-protected PDFs cannot be processed. Remove the password first with PDF Password Unlock. Digitally signed PDFs can be processed, but rewriting the file invalidates the signature.

What happens to your file

Nothing is uploaded, stored on a server or tracked. Your PDFs stay in your browser's memory until you remove them or close the page. The finished PDF is a new file. Your original is never changed.

How to get the most out of it

  • Use At the End to repeat a set of forms or answer sheets together.
  • Duplicate a cover page to print several covers in one go.
  • To put pages in a different order, use Reorganize PDF Pages.
